Daniel Paredes-Sabja, PhD

Daniel is a trained molecular microbiologist and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at Texas A&M University. Daniel completed his undergraduate degree at the Universidad Austral de Chile, where he was awarded for his academic efficiency. During his doctoral training at the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Oregon State University, Daniel acquired diverse expertise in conducting molecular microbiological research with species belonging to the Clostridium genus. During his PhD training, he obtained numerous awards for his top academic performance and outstanding scientific productivity. His PhD work allowed him to publish the first biological model of the mechanism of germination of Clostridium spores, covering the entire germination machinery. As a leading C. difficile biology expert with over 100 publications, Daniel has been a key advisor for LIV Process.
